Almost spring

Spring is springing in the backyard! Hello!

My quest for a robin photo continues. This little fellow was hopping around the backyard earlier. He was pretty shy.

Leaving the backyard, I found several signs of spring on my walk and bike ride.
Hi, friend goose. Well, how about general acquaintance? We aren't really friends.
Whether you are wealthy or not, goose poop happens.
Not really spring, but this pink color is gorgeous.
Pretty mailbox.

Someday, we will see the sun again. Until then, we can have brightly colored lunches!

The Rain Continues

This spring break is shaping up to be a damp one. Although Saturday was beautiful, Sunday was cloudy and Monday and Tuesday were straight up rainy.

Here’s this week’s theme song from YouTube:
Mississippi's 2015 Spring Break Theme Song

I don’t have too many big plans this week, so I sat out on the front porch reading Culinary Artistry and watching robins and squirrels. I love robins, because they are such a harbinger of spring. While I was reading, a robin arrived across the yard with several blackbirds.

The robin is standing on the sidewalk.

I returned to my book. A moment ‘'later, the air was filled with the mighty sound of beating wings. Looking up, I saw the neighborhood dogs.

Hey! Stop disturbing my robins!

There are a lot of loose dogs in our neighborhood.

Stay tuned for more rainy spring break adventures! Lol!

Spring Break

Spring Break is in progress, and I am a happy girl. I don't have to wake up at 5:20 all week. I don't have to chain myself to the phone so I won't miss a call. I don't have to cram breakfast down on my way out the door. What am I going to do with myself?
The biggest thing I have to do this week is pack for my impending return to Japan! Thanks to flying with Delta, I am limited to one bag.

My shoes take up more room than that!

(my dream is to wear my suit on the plane and then fill my bag with Dill and Sea Salt Triscuits)

Besides that, I'm looking forward to visiting friends and just having freedom!

Maybe I'll try to blog a little more...
