The show was great, and afterwards I did a little wandering. Well, much to my surprise, I came across a restaurant called Rebun. And it really was named for the island where I teach. Turned out the man half of the owner couple came from Rebun. I told them where I taught, and we had a nice short chat. Dinner was great, too. It was a buttered shrimp cooked in orange sauce. I may or may not have eaten some of the sauce with a spoon.
I'm going to see a show! It's a festival that just started today. There are lots of ladies in beautiful kimono, but they all seem to be in the special seating area. The cheap seating is full of tourists and me. I wanted to type b u m m y tourists, but my phone tried to correct it to nummy. No, phone, I don't think so. Unfortunately, photography is prohibited during the show, but here's a shot of the theater.
